On September 21, Advantage Mozambique hosted its first-ever Los Angeles Tennis & Wellness Fundraiser, bringing together a vibrant community of athletes, wellness enthusiasts, and supporters to raise funds for youth tennis and education programs in Mozambique.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we surpassed our fundraising goal by 43%, with every dollar going directly toward creating life-changing opportunities for young athletes in Mozambique to study and compete at the collegiate level in the U.S.
The event blended tennis, Pilates, and wellness for a day of purpose-driven fun, featuring:
- Pilates with Amber Flowers (@SpicedPilates)
- Live ball tennis with Amber Washington (@CourtandCoTennis)
- Massages by Yosef & Aisha
- Food & beverages from Le Parc Hotel and Sosa The Soda
- Venue and registration support from LVBL
- Racket demos and prizes from Wilson Sporting Goods Co.
- Raffle prizes from Paume Jewelry, Sabertooth Fitness, and a special donation from world tennis champion Naomi Osaka — a limited-edition Murakami tennis bag, one of only 20 in the world.
Since its founding, Advantage Mozambique has already sponsored four student-athletes on their journey to U.S. universities — a testament to the power of community and sport in transforming lives.
